The pilot: Serrhel Adams
The airplanes: Cub Crafters X-Cub
The mission: Enjoying a windy October day
The memory: A flight to explore some of the backcountry strips around Northwest Arkansas did not go exactly as planned. Winds were stronger than expected, and they were swirling in the hills. Most of the strips I planned to visit were blown out. I do this for fun, and these landings would not have been fun. So, I just spent a couple of Hobbs Hours flying around and seeing the sights. Sometimes, the best sight is in the sky above. Mother Nature provided a circle of clouds above to frame the Cub and the Arkansas landscape. Surprise shots like these make the marriage of photography and flying worthwhile.

Cool photo … and exactly how did you take it???
I think Airfacts got the wrong title. This was taken in Arkansas during a flight around the Ozarks. I took it with an Insta360 Camera. It was a beautiful day
