From April 2004 until April 30, 2020, he was an instructor at FlightSafety International in Long Beach, CA, where he was a classroom and simulator instructor and taught the Cessna 300/400, the King Air 90/100, 200/B200 and the 500 series Cessna Citations. He is a founding member of SAFE, an organization for aviation educators. He owns a 1970 Cessna 150, and is in a 4-way partnership in a 1953 Cessna 180. Both aircraft are kept at Long Beach Airport (KLGB).
