Friday Photo: Swiss peaks on a solo cross-country

Click on image for full size.

The view: Abeam the peak of Grosser Mythen in Schwyz, Switzerland.

The pilot: Aaron Ochsner

The airplane: 1981 Piper Archer II

Then mission: Solo cross-country navigation flight in preparation for my PPL checkride

The memory: When I was a kid, I used to hike up this mountain every weekend with my dad (you can see the trail snaking up the side). Today I got a bird’s eye view of that same peak. Soon I’ll be able to take my dad up to see it with me.
