Restaurant Name: Skyline Diner
Airport: Salem Airpark (38D), Ohio
Restaurant Tips: While some on-airport restaurants say they offer a $100 hamburger, the Skyline Diner’s menu, besides offering the usual pancakes, club sandwiches and children’s choices, lists a true $100 hamburger consisting of hamburger, fries, hat, T-shirt and airplane ride! Skyline is a great destination diner decorated with WWII décor, including an inverted aerobatic plane with the whimsical call number ICU812. (Say it aloud if it doesn’t make sense to you yet…) Watch airplanes take off and land while you eat. Open for breakfast and lunch most days 7 AM until 2 PM. Closed Tuesdays.
Airport Tips: Salem Airpark, 38D, in northeast Ohio is family owned and operated and offers flight training, aerobatic and upset training. Home of Bad Attitude Flight Instruction and designated pilot examiner John Dye, as well as other instructors through Skyline Aviation. More info on Facebook.

Been to the Skyline Diner many times for breakfast and lunch. Only complaint is that they are not open for dinner.
Nice little airport and diner. Did my tail wheel training there with John Dye. Best flight instruction I have ever had!
I stopped in last summer to meet an old high school friend of mine while working on my commercial rating. My hometown is just a few miles away and I remember going to the dragstrip (which my friend mistakingly landed on once)next to the airfield. I have been trying to get the local flyinig clubs to head down there one day for lunch. Great place, great people
Our group flys there regularly for breakfast. Mike the owner and staff are nice people, and the food is great. THANKS
Visited last week after reading this post. What a great place, and the people could not have been nicer! Highly recommended !
