William J. Norris was born in Puerto Rico before moving to Brooklyn, NY. In 1968 he joined the Marines. After graduating from boot camp, he was chosen for special sea school training. In August 1969 he was assigned to the aircraft carrier, USS Franklin D. Roosevelt CVA-42.

After he was discharged from the service in January 1971 he returned to Puerto Rico.

In 1985 Norris founded a company called Future Products Corp. manufacturing high tech anti-friction metal treatment lubricant called METALLUBE. The company has been in business 40 years.
