My husband, Ken, and I have been flying duo since he got his license in 1997. We are now both octogenarians and still flying our RV-9. Ken has recently become the president of UFOs (United Flying Octogenarians) and I’m still at his side, now with ForeFlight instead of paper maps. We have been EAA Chapter 430 members for 20 years and have both held several offices in the chapter. Flying a small plane in the Olympic Peninsula of Washington State, with its amazing scenery of mountains, lakes, the Pacific Ocean, and the Strait of Juan de Fuca, with constantly changing weather patterns, is amazing and challenging.
