Joseph Perrone is an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon in Southern Connecticut. He grew up in New Jersey and always had a love of airplanes. His grandfather was a Brigadier General in the USAF and provided Joe with his first flight lessons at age 13. He soloed on his 16th birthday with his grandfather watching. His flight training was then interrupted by changes surrounding the September 11th attacks. He went to college, dental school, medical school, and residency, and got married along the way. It wasn’t until his grandfather was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer that he got back into flying. His grandfather gave Joe his Ercoupe shortly before he passed away. In his grandfather’s memory he completed his flight training. He has two boys who he loves to share general aviation with, and moved up to a Grumman Tiger to be able to accommodate a family of four.
