George is licensed as a single engine land and sea pilot with multi-engine rating. In the mid-1950s, he was a bush pilot with Superior Airways in northwest Ontario. He then became a Cessna Aircraft sales rep and dealer in Muskoka, before moving on to a career in Canadian radio and TV broadcasting. Following that, George worked for Bartaco-Redlaw in marketing (and flying the company's Cessna 310) and then his own marketing agency. Today he is a Young Eagles volunteer pilot with the Collingwood Flying Club.
