The view: The tallest waterfall on the planet, Angel Falls in Venezuela

The airplane: The reliable Cessna 172

The pilot: Douglas Olivares

The mission: This particular photo was taken during a long weekend flight to the Devils Canyon which is home to Angel Falls, the largest waterfall in the world (over 3,000 feet uninterrupted). It was discovered by Jimmy Angel circa 1937.

The memory: What a wonderful aircraft! I’ve always believed that flying, alongside medicine and photography, are my greatest passions in this life.
