I have been interested in aviation since I can first remember. My first instruction was at age 15 but couldn’t afford to continue. I started flying in earnest at 21. I bought my J-3 Cub in 1972 when I was 22 and have been flying consistently since. Wanting something faster and aerobatic, I built a Van’s RV-4 which, after 6.5 years of building, first took the air in 1997. I have over 3600 hours, nearly all in tailwheel aircraft. I retired as a physician which has given me more time to fly. I still have that same J-3 Cub!
