Frank Forrest Humbles, MD, is a CFII with a commercial certificate. He started flight training early, with his first instructor being his father, A.T., a TWA pilot and former B-17 pilot. With two older brothers already airline pilots, he was working as a CFI when he was accepted to East Carolina University School of Medicine. After 25 years of practice as an Anesthesiologist in South Carolina, he now lives in Charleston, where he continues to fly. He helps his wife, Kim, run a ladies apparel shop, Joan Crosby Shop of Charleston, a 72-year-old South Carolina family business. He is a volunteer on the USS Yorktown in Charleston. Frank has just over 2000 flight hours and flies a 1976 Rockwell Commander 112TC out of KLRO.
