The mission: Perfection
The memory: This was at the recent Power in the Pines 2025 Airshow where JB McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst opens its doors to the public for free (yes, tax dollars at work) and hosts a spectacular airshow. This year the headlining act was none other than the USAF Thunderbirds!
My now 8-year old son has seen the Navy’s Blue Angels but never the Thunderbirds. Upon seeing the signature diamond pass maneuver he asked, “Daddy, we should do that!” My response, “Absolutely!”

Alexander Sack is an Instrument rated Commercial Pilot based in New Jersey who will at any moment spontaneously talk about airplanes.
