The mission: Get to Alaska
The memory: On the final stretch of flying over Washington on this five-leg day covering almost 700 nm at 84 knots. Earlier that morning we had left from Central California flying through Oregon to arrive at Orcas Island so we can launch the next morning to fly over the Canadian Coast to our final destination. Alaska!

Jackie fell in love with the aviation community in 2019 when she helped finish building her soon-to-be husband’s Carbon Cub. After completing the Cub, the couple explored the western US which inspired her to get her PPL. Shortly after starting training in 2020, Jackie received a cancer diagnosis and had to pause her training. With successful treatment, she resumed training and earned her PPL in May 2021. The couple purchased a hangar home and their life truly revolves around aviation. They owned a Taylorcraft before moving up to a Carbon Cub.
