The memory: Just another day in the Southern Utah paradise. My buddy always says “if there’s a bump in the world, this is where you’ll find it” but this day, the air was smooth as glass.

Now a retired electrical engineer, Barrie worked for the US Navy in San Diego for 28 years, then retired to Cedar City, Utah, a pilot’s paradise. He took his first flying lessons back in the ‘60s in a Luscombe 8 taildragger, an experience that taught him rudder pedals are not just footrests. Barrie bought the StingSport in 2010 – a sweet-flying airplane that a buddy referred to as a "magic carpet." Flying in the American Southwest is fantastic... lots of CAVU weather and scenery that you just can’t believe.His favorite sport these days is showing friends the beauties of Southern Utah from the air.

Thanks for sharing. It looks beautiful. I had planned on flying out to Southern Utah (wasn’t sure best way to get over the big rocks from CMH) this Summer, but COVID got into the way.
