The view: ATC vector around CVG Class B to get to Cincinnati West airport
The pilot: Ed Loxterkamp
The airplane: Piper Arrow – N601BS
The mission: Coming back to Cincinnati from a trip to Augusta, GA and dropping off my plane for its annual before SNF.
The memory: Great weather for mid-March and great sun on a really cool city with the bridges and stadiums of the Tri-State area. The freedom and perspective that flying provides is extremely unique and memorable!
Editor’s note: This is the latest installment in our weekly series called simply the “Friday Photo.” Each week we’ll share a great photo taken from the cockpit – one that shares the joy, beauty or fun of flying. Terrific Shot!
Great shot, what camera was used?
Good picture. Save it for remembrance. Was in Cincinnati and Kentucky last May, 2016.
Ed, are you the Ed L. who bought our High Flights 1-34 an electric vario a million years ago?
Hi Jim,
I’m the one and the same from a long time ago. I remember going up after the install and it didn’t register what we thought so we had to do some trouble shooting on where we may have had a leak. That was my last flight before I headed off to the Seychelles. I hope someone was able to isolate the issue and people were able to get some good flights with it. Hope the club is doing well. Best Regards. Ed
