The view: Departing to the north out of Pagosa Springs, PSO, looking northwest as we started up Wolf Creek Pass
The pilot: Jim Densmore and Joe Brundage
The airplane: Jim’s 1956 Cessna 180, N6555A
The mission: Returning to home base in Colorado Springs, CO, from the October 2016 AOPA fly-in at Prescott (PRC), AZ.
The memory: I was surprised and very pleased at how much fun we had at the AOPA fly-in. AOPA and EAA are collaborating together to improve GA as they never have before, and we found this very gratifying. To top it off, we had a beautiful flight home, as this image with bright aspens attests to.
Editor’s note: This is the latest installment in our weekly series called simply the “Friday Photo.” Each week we post a great photo taken from the cockpit – one that shares the joy, beauty or fun of flying. If you’d like to join in, send your photo and description (using the format above) to: [email protected]
