Gita Brown is a classical music educator, therapeutic yoga instructor, and writer. Originally trained as a professional clarinetist, Gita toured internationally before discovering her true calling: helping others grow through education. Her yoga journey began in high school as a way to manage performance anxiety and has evolved into both a lifelong practice and an educational model. She now teaches classical clarinet, mentors yoga teachers, leads stress-reduction yoga classes, and presents keynotes at music education conferences.
Now a student pilot, Gita finds renewed inspiration in aviation—a return to the awe she felt as a child while watching her father fly sailplanes across the skies of the Midwest.
She is the co-host, alongside John Niehaus, of The Calm Cockpit Podcast, which shares cutting-edge tools in stress reduction, well-being, and high-performance mental training to help pilots sharpen their skills and enrich their lives.
