The view: Baltimore Harbor at sunset

The airplane: Cessna 210L
The mission: Returning home from my daughter’s soccer tournament weekend in Richmond, Virginia with the family on board.
The memory: I typically fly west of the Washington D.C. area but I decided to fly over the Chesapeake Bay this time. The weather was clear, the ride was smooth, and the sunset view of Baltimore Harbor was absolutely spectacular. This might become my new route of choice when transitioning north/south of the D.C. area.

After soloing in high school and earning ASEL and Instrument ratings in 2005, Don returned to flying a decade later after moving from Washington, DC, to central PA and re-engaging with the general aviation community. He became a first-time airplane co-owner in 2018 and has not looked back, flying mostly to stay proficient, have fun, visit family and friends, and eventually complete a Commercial rating.
