After becoming “happily unemployed” from her job working with computers at Los Alamos National Laboratory in my mid-50s, Lauren was able to indulge her lifelong, though never-seriously-considered, interest in becoming a pilot. She earned a Sport certificate in January 2014. She learned, and now rents an airplane, from New Mexico Sport Aviation in Santa Fe, NM, which currently has a Remos and a Tecnam available. With the 3rd Class Medical reform, a Private certificate is tempting. Married; one grown son; various Siberian husky rescues. Other interests include hiking, nature photography, and playing the flute.
