boston twilight 600

The view: Boston Civil Twilight

The pilot: Frank Facchetti

The airplane: Cessna 172

The mission: Headed home from pre-buy in New Hampshire

The memory: One of the most beautiful, bittersweet moments in my beloved Skyhawk. Preparing to sell, I had flown to the buyer’s A&P in New Hampshire. It was a beautiful late summer evening flight home. By the time I was vectored east of KBOS over the harbor the sun had set and provided me with this view to the west. Logan is in the foreground. Waxing crescent moon under my wing tip. A beautiful final flight in my ‘hawk!
